Terms and Conditions

Effective date: September 12, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the website of Despacho Legal Equitas, LLC ("Equitas", "we", "our"). By accessing or using this website, you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree, we recommend that you not use the site.

1. Use of the Website

This website is provided for general informational purposes only. You agree to use it lawfully, ethically, and in accordance with the applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and of the United States.

The following are prohibited:

  • Using the site for illegal or fraudulent purposes
  • Interfering with the operation of the site
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Submitting false, misleading, or malicious information

The content of this website does not constitute legal advice and creates no professional obligation on the part of Equitas. To obtain legal advice, it is necessary to consult directly with an attorney at the firm and to formalize an attorney-client relationship.

3. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Use of this website, the submission of forms, emails, or messages, or the request of an appointment does not create an attorney-client relationship.

That relationship is established only through an express agreement, formally accepted by the firm.

4. Information Provided by the User

You are responsible for the information you submit through the website. We ask that you not send confidential or sensitive information before a formally established attorney-client relationship exists.

Equitas does not guarantee the confidentiality of information sent before that relationship exists.

5. Consultations and Payments

a. Consultation request

The website allows you to request a legal consultation through the form on the "Schedule your consultation" page. Submitting that form constitutes a request, not a confirmed appointment: we will contact you to check that there is no conflict of interest and, if appropriate, arrange the date and time. Submitting the form does not guarantee acceptance of the case or the provision of legal services.

b. Payments

Online payments may be processed through LawPay. Equitas does not store credit or debit card information. All payments are subject to the policies and terms of the corresponding payment provider.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, logos, images, graphics, and design — is the property of Despacho Legal Equitas, LLC or is used with authorization.

Reproduction, distribution, or modification of the content without prior written authorization is prohibited.

This website may contain links to third-party websites. Equitas does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those external sites.

Access to third-party links is at your own risk.

8. Site Availability

Equitas does not warrant that the website will be available uninterrupted or free of errors. We reserve the right to suspend, modify, or discontinue the site, in whole or in part, without prior notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Despacho Legal Equitas, LLC shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or the inability to use, this website.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Despacho Legal Equitas, LLC against any claim, damage, or expense arising from misuse of the website or breach of these Terms and Conditions.

11. Privacy

Use of the website is subject to our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.

12. Modifications

Equitas reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Modifications are effective once published on this page.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the applicable laws of the United States.

Any dispute shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Puerto Rico.
